1. What Mapclusive is
Mapclusive is a community-maintained map of publicly relevant accessibility information (toilets, changing tables, step-free access, period products and similar). It is provided free of charge to visitors.
2. Accuracy - please read
Listings come from the community, from OpenStreetMap and from venues themselves. Facilities change without notice. We cannot guarantee that any facility is present, open, or usable at the time of your visit, and we recommend calling ahead - every listing offers a "Call to confirm" button for that reason. The same applies to step-free routes: they are calculated from open data and can miss obstacles. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for decisions taken on the basis of listing data. Nothing here excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
3. Contributions
- You may add places, photos, ratings and reports without an account.
- Only submit information you believe to be true and that you are allowed to share.
- By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish and adapt that contribution as part of the map.
- We may edit, decline or remove any contribution - in particular anything false, defamatory, discriminatory or spam.
- An optional account shows you your contributions and lets you download a participation certificate. The certificate counts confirmed contributions only; it is a thank-you, not a professional qualification or an expert assessment.
3a. Photos - please read before you upload
- Only upload photos you took yourself. Don't upload photos found online, taken from another app, or copied from the venue's own website - that is someone else's copyright, not yours to license.
- Don't photograph people. Publishing an identifiable person needs their consent. We reject photos with recognisable faces or number plates. Photograph the doorway, the ramp, the changing table - that is what helps anyway.
- Be considerate in toilets and changing rooms. Photograph the facility, never a person, and never when someone is using it.
- Every photo is reviewed by a person before it appears. We can reject anything, for any reason, without explanation.
- If a photo of you or your property has been published, write to us and we will take it down.
4. Business listings
- A free community listing may exist for any venue; it is not an endorsement.
- Paid plans add placement, a Partner badge, photos, a numbered window sticker and support.
- Term and cancellation. A paid plan runs for an initial term of 12 months. You may give notice at any time during that term; it takes effect at the end of the term. After the initial term the plan continues on a rolling basis and can be cancelled with one month's notice, effective at the end of any month. There is no automatic renewal for a further year. When a plan ends, paid features revert to a free listing; the listing itself stays.
- "Partner" means the business has claimed its listing, confirmed its facilities and pays for a plan; it is not a check on site. Misrepresenting facilities is grounds for removing the badge without refund.
- Prices are shown net of VAT unless stated otherwise. EU VAT is applied per applicable law.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; their terms apply to the payment itself.
5. Acceptable use
Don't scrape at a scale that burdens the service, don't attempt to break security, and don't use the map to harass anyone. The interface is provided as-is; the underlying map data remains © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL.
6. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Third-party components (tiles, address search, routing, hosting) can fail independently of us.
7. Language, changes and governing law
These terms are provided in several languages for convenience; only the German version is legally binding. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page. German law applies where permitted, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
